Who we are:
Churchtown is a warm and friendly rural congregation at the heart of the village of Tamlaght O'Crilly which is located in the middle of the Kilrea, Maghera and Portglenone triangle.
We are an evangelical and reformed church which is part of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. You can visit the PCI website for further information about our denomination and its mission.
What we believe is clearly set out in detail in a document called the Westminster Confession of Faith and in the larger and shorter catechisms.
There has been a long history of evangelical ministry within the congregation proclaiming the good news of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone. You can find out more about our history here.

Our congregation is governed by the Session. In Churchtown there are currently 8 ruling elders plus the minister, who is the teaching elder.
The finances and practical oversight within the congregation are managed by the Congregational Committee.
Our minister is the Rev. Richard Morrison.
He is married to Laura and have three children Caleb, Isaac and Rose.
Richard grew up on a farm in North Antrim and came to saving faith in the Lord Jesus in early childhood. Having studied Engineering he worked as Manufacturing Engineer in Schrader Electronics. Sensing a call from God to Christian ministry, Richard and Laura served with Mission Africa in Nigeria for over 2 years, before being accepted to train for PCI ministry. Having been assistant minister in Drumreagh Presbyterian, Richard received a call to Churchtown and was ordained and installed in August 2021.
